Rnd 5: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, * 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc, repeat from * to end, join with sl st to top of ch 3 (30). Rnd 6: Ch 3, dc in each dc, join with sl st to top of ch 3 (30). Rnd 7: Ch 3, dc in each of next 3 dc, * 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of next 4 dc, repeat from * to end, join with sl st to top of ch 3 (36). To finish: Rnd 1: Ch 4, 2 tr in same loop, * 3 tr in next loop, repeat from * to end, join with sl st to top of ch 4. Rnd 2: Ch 4, *sc in st between 3 tr groups to form loop, ch 3, repeat from * to end, join with sl st to bottom of first ch 4 loop, sl st in loop. Repeat finishing rnds 1 and 2 twice. For garters, ¼" silk ribbon can be woven through the loops of the third row from the top of the stocking and tied in a bow. Stockings made with white cotton thread can be beautifully dyed to complement a doll's costume. |
