Composition Restoration Classes



A two-day course of study
9am to 5pm with hour for lunch.
One-on-one instruction.
You schedule your class any time that is
mutually convenient.

You bring a notebook and various
examples of any crazed, cracked, broken or otherwise damaged composition
you would like to work on

The cost of the two-day course is $1,500.
A deposit of 10% (non-refundable) is
required to schedule your class – the
balance (cashier's check) is due before instruction begins.

You are responsible for your own food, lodging, and transportation

Demonstration topics include:
· restoration ethics; safety
· tools, equipment, materials & supplies
· removing wigs, eyes & teeth
· disassembling bodies, cleaning, stripping
· reassembling broken pieces
· filling cracks, seams, blisters, sockets & holes; replacing missing hooks
· rebuilding fingers, toes & missing sections; making new parts
· color matching
· painting & sealing repairs (airbrush)
· transplanting irises & replacing eyelashes
· stringing bodies, making cloth bodies; squeakers & criers
· tips on starting your own restoration business
You receive, in writing, all information covered in class!
